Introducing Mr Nigel Willis

Nigel Willis - Wellington Orthopaedic Surgeon
MBChB, F.R.A.C.S

Mr Willis is a New Zealand trained and qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as Trauma and Limb Reconstruction.

Born and bred in Wellington, Mr Willis graduated from Otago University Medical School in 1987 and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1988. He then underwent further orthopaedic training in Canada and Oxford, UK.

Special Interests
Mr Willis has a special interest in lower limb joint replacement and athroscopy surgery. In addition to this, he continues to provide a general orthopaedic service for a specific range of Upper Limb Pathologues, such as Carpel Tunnel and Tennis Elbow.

Practice Locations
He is currently a visiting orthopaedic surgeon at Central District Health Board and spends around 40% of his time working in a private practice.

He is primarily based at Mana Orthopaedics and also spends time working at Waikanae Health Centre and Capital Sports Medium in Wellington. This provides his patients with greater access to his services.

All of his procedures are conducted at Bowen Hospital and other Wellington private hospitals.

Other interests
Mr Willis is a passionate supporter of the Wellington Hurricanes and Wellington Lions. He is also keen skier.
